The Children's Facilities Capital Program Major Grants program supports communities across the state with grants to build and upgrade early childhood facilities in areas where services are needed the most.
The 2017-18 Children's Facilities Capital Program Major Grants Program is now closed and announcements of successful projects are anticipated to be occur in December 2017.
In December 2016 the Government announced the recipients of the Children's Facilities Capital Program Major Grants for 2016-17. Recipients shared in more than $13.5 million in funding to build new facilities, integrate service delivery and upgrade existing facilities. This funding will respond to growing demand for places, raise the quality of learning environments and improve access to services for children from vulnerable and/or disadvantaged families.
There were three categories of Major Grants for 2016-17. The successful recipients were:
INTEGRATED CHILDREN’S CENTRE
NEW EARLY LEARNING FACILITY
EARLY LEARNING FACILITY UPGRADE
