PROJECT UPDATE

There are two projects happening at Albany Rise:

  • 2016-17 School Pride and Sports Fund project
  • 2015-16 School Improvement Fund project

2016-17 School pride and sports fund project

We're upgrading the running track at the school.

As part of the Education State vision, the Victorian Government has set a goal to increase pride and confidence in government schools. The School Pride and Sports Fund is one way of achieving that goal. Funding is provided for projects totalling under $1million, which will help students, teachers and the community to feel proud of their school.

The School Pride and Sports Fund will provide funding for upgrade and modernisation works. The new fund will also help ensure more new gymnasiums are competition grade and can be used by community sporting clubs.

TIMELINES

The school will work with the Authority to coordinate timelines.

2015-16 SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT FUND PROJECT

We installed a new, secure fence along Zita Street. This project is now complete.

The Victorian government allocated $10 million to the School Improvement Fund in the 2015-16 State Budget to support minor works projects.
