We are in planning to upgrade and modernise Ascot Vale Primary School.
An architect is working with the school on a number of design stages. This begins with developing floor plans, before moving on to details like materials and finishes, the landscape plan, and engineering, electrical and structural elements.
The school has also gained a sensory garden funded through the Inclusive Schools Fund.
We have appointed Haskell Architects for this upgrade.
Planning includes repainting classroom blocks, internal refurbishment, replacing the school oval and playground equipment, new fences and landscaping.
INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS FUND
The school recieved $30,000 in Round 1 to build a sensory garden and $180,300 in Round 2 to improve the acoustics of two buildings, and to complete the sensory garden.
The Inclusive Schools Fund is a $20 million fund over four years, established to help Victorian government schools implement innovative projects that promote best practice inclusive school environments and support the educational and social needs of children and young people with disabilities.
