ABOUT THE PROJECT
We have built a new primary school called Bridgewood Primary School (formerly known by the interim name of Gum Scrub Creek Primary). This includes
Bridgewood Integrated Early Learning Centre, located in the Beaconsfield-Officer area.
The school will accommodate 475 students with a peak enrolment of up to 900 students. The site also provides an integrated early learning facility for 109 pre-school children.
In 2017, the school received funding from the
Shared Facilities Fund to build an additional area for their out of school hours care.
We have designed the school to accommodate how students and the wider school community will access it, the children's centre and the adjoining public reserve. We want to promote well-being and community engagement.
We have planned the precinct so the community can use the facilities after school hours.
The school will include a full-size internal netball/basketball court and integrated sporting facilities.
The early learning centre will offer:
- kindergarten and community facilities
- a maternal health centre
- consulting rooms and wait area
- a community room
- an early childhood intervention services room
- an OSHC facility (after hours care).
