two projects happening at Carisbrook Primary School, both of which are in the design stage:
- The 2017-18 Modernisation Project to upgrade learning areas for 21st century teaching practice
- The 2016-17 School Pride and Sports Fund Project that will refurbish the gym to allow for competition-grade sports.
We've appointed Haskell Architects for both projects.
We will update and refurbish classrooms and facilities in poor condition to improve standards across the school, ensuring the school has the learning facilities it requires to deliver modern education.
The architect is working with the school on a number of design stages. This begins with developing floor plans, elevations and sections, before moving on to details like materials and finishes, the landscape plan, engineering, electrical and structural elements.
Once designs are finalised, we will award a building contract and start construction.
SCHOOL PRIDE & SPORTS FUND PROJECT
As part of the Education State vision, the Victorian Government allocated money to Carisbrook Primary School to improve facilities and increase community pride in the school.
The school will use this funding to upgrade their gymnasium. Works included refurbishing the existing centre, and replacing undersized pipes.
