Frankston City Council have extended and upgraded East Karingal Kindergarten to create a
larger, modern facility with enhanced functionality.
The Victorian Government is committed to providing high quality early years programs to give every child the best start in life.
The Government, through the Children’s Facilities Capital Program, has invested $60 million over four years to support local governments and other service providers to invest in early childhood infrastructure. This funding will respond to growing demand for places, raise the quality of learning environments and improve access to services for children from vulnerable and/or disadvantaged families.
The upgrade includes disability access, designated foyer, seperate children's locker area, larger children's bathroom including seperate accessible toilet facility, designated staff toilet, relocated staff office catering for six adults and incorporating a small meeting space, larger children's play room with art space and upgraded kitchen.
