Melbourne City Mission is delivering Stage 2 of the Hartnett House Integrated Children Centre upgrade.
The Victorian Government is committed to providing high quality early years programs to give every child the best start in life.
The Government, through the Children’s Facilities Capital Program, is supporting local governments and other service providers to invest in early childhood infrastructure. This funding will respond to growing demand for places, raise the quality of learning environments and improve access to services for children from vulnerable and/or disadvantaged families.
For further information, please see the Children's Facilities Capital Program page.
Spaces throughout the centre will be upgraded including the children's rooms, kitchen, storage, staff room, laundry and external play areas. A currently disused room will be refurbished to become an integrated community and edcuation room.
This upgrade will allow Hartnett House to increase community and Melbourne City
Mission use. In addition, the upgraded facility will be more welcoming to the community with improved entrance access, larger foyer and waiting spaces and improved natural light.
