There has been one completed project and one ongoing project at Ivanhoe Primary School:
- Refurbishments to classrooms and other school facilities through an Upgrade Project
- A new outdoor sensory area delivered through the Inclusive Schools Fund
The school is at the beginning of its building project. It has been consulting with students, teachers and the local community to identify and prioritise building requirements. The curriculum needs of the school, as well as their future ambitions, formed part of this process.
Proposed works include replacing relocatable classrooms with permanent buildings, and a new junior school.
Maddison Architects are designing this project.
McCollSmith Projects are assigned to this project.
INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS FUND
We built an inclusive, outdoor sensory garden with play areas. This project is now complete.
The Inclusive Schools Fund is a $20 million fund over four years, established to help Victorian government schools implement innovative projects that promote best practice inclusive school environments and support the educational and social needs of children and young people with disabilities.
