This project will be completed in two stages:
- Stage 1: creation of new school hub
- Stage 2: upgrade to classroom blocks
about the project
Work started on this project in 2015, with initial funding of $1 million provided for planning. A further $14.3 million was allocated over the 2016-17 and 2017-18 State Budgets for construction.
This project is an election commitment for the Victorian Government.
We will repurpose the admin area in Building A to create a new school hub. We will build kitchen and dining facilities, reading nooks and formal and informal meeting spaces. The food technology facilities will be used by VCAL students to complete their hospitality training onsite.
We will also add new admin facilities to Building A, build a new roof over the courtyard and redevelop the bus drop-off zone.
Stage 1 is currently under construction.
We will build a new classroom block and refurbish the classrooms in Buildings B and C.
The classroom blocks will each have a combination of flexible learning areas, staff resources and collaborative meeting spaces.
Stage 2 is currently in the design phase.

The architect for both stages of this project is e+ architecture.
The builder for Stage 1 of this project is Searle Bros.
The builder for Stage 2 has not yet been appointed.
