The City of Melbourne are rebuilding the existing Lady Huntingfield Children’s Centre and developing it into integrated child and family centre.

The Victorian Government is committed to providing high quality early years programs to give every child the best start in life.

The Government, through the Children’s Facilities Capital Program, is supporting local governments and other service providers to invest in early childhood infrastructure. This funding will respond to growing demand for places, raise the quality of learning environments and improve access to services for children from vulnerable and/or disadvantaged families.

FACILITIES

The new centre will be a state-of-the-art integrated family and children’s centre. The existing playground and outdoor environment will be enhanced to integrate fully with the rooms, allowing for streamlined indoor and outdoor play spaces. Each of the rooms will cater for children of all ages and abilities to ensure flexibility. Bathrooms will include change benches and children’s toilets. Kindergarten and long day care will be provided for children on a part time and full time basis.
