The Victorian Government is establishing itself as a climate change leader and has legislated an ultimate goal of zero net emissions by 2050.
To support this goal, the Government established the Greener Government School Buildings (GGSB) program to drive action towards net zero emissions and to help schools become more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
We're doing this by helping schools install solar panel systems to generate renewable energy.
By October 2020, the 2018-19 program will have:
Applications are now open for the 2020 Round of the Greener Government School Buildings program
Applications to have solar panels installed at your school are now open. If successful, the VSBA will pay the upfront costs of installing your solar power system. Your school will then pay back the installation costs, and then ongoing savings contributions, using the power savings generated by the system itself.
