We are upgrading this school to increase capacity for the growing local population, while retaining open play space and providing students with a competition-grade gym.
Following community consultation, the Victorian Government decided not to progress the option of increasing capacity by building a new senior campus at the Amcor Paper Mill redevelopment site. As outlined in the community engagement report, the school community did not support this option.
Instead, the $14.1 million previously earmarked for the Amcor Paper Mill redevelopment site will be reallocated to upgrade Alphington Primary's existing campus.
The upgrade will create new teaching and learning spaces for an additional 200 students, as well as providing a competition-grade gymnasium.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to engage with us during our consultation in October 2018. You can read the engagement report here.
Thank you again to all who attended our drop-in session on Wednesday 4th at Alphington Primary School.
We are working on updating the FAQs and collating your feedback.
