The Victorian Government is transforming secondary education in Lilydale and the Upper Yarra with the education plan for the area.
These works will ensure that the schools are better equipped to deliver modern education.
We want to give students and their families more options and opportunities, help young people to finish their secondary education, equip teachers with high quality training and resources, and improve school infrastructure.
These goals will ensure that students have pathways to further education and employment opportunities in the future. This plan seeks to boost educational outcomes, address enrolment numbers, ensure financial sustainability and share resources equally between the three local secondary schools. To read the Lilydale and Upper Yarra Education Plan, please visit the Department of Education and Training’s website.
We consulted community members and stakeholders in the Lilydale and Upper Yarra area during July, August and September 2017 to collect data that would assist to develop the education plan.
Community members and stakeholders were asked to identify what was working well and what could be improved in the education system in the area.
The engagement and consultation activities will help develop the Lilydale and Upper Yarra Education Plan.
