The temporary Tech School facility is built. It started delivering programs for students in Term 3, 2017, and officially opened in Term 4, 2017.
Temporary facility: Federation Training, Chadstone
Permanent facility: Monash University, Clayton Campus
Secondary school students from the Monash area have access to cutting-edge learning at the Monash Tech School, hosted by Monash University, with a temporary facility housed at Federation Training until 2019.
The Tech School is a high-tech learning environment. Its innovative education programs link with local industry to deliver real world learning. Students from 12 partner schools in Monash can access the Tech School throughout the year for specialised programs.
Monash Tech School emphasises the vital science, technology, engineering and mathematics skills needed for the 21st century. It enhances the programs schools provide, and helps prepare students for the jobs of the future.
Site and Host
Monash University will host the permanent Monash Tech School at its Clayton Campus in 2019. A temporary facility at Federation Training in Chadstone houses the Monash Tech School between mid-2017 and 2019.
The Director of the Monash Tech School is Ashley van Krieken.

The Monash Tech School has an education focus aligned to industries that are predicted to experience strong economic and employment growth:
- Medical technologies and pharmaceuticals
