We’re building a new secondary school in Clyde North. A confirmed address will be provided by local council in the coming months. It will open day one of Term 1 in 2025 and help the growing local population get great education close to home.

In its first year of operation, Clyde North Secondary School (interim name) will open to Year 7 students only, and progress by year level thereafter. It will be able to enrol up to 800 students when the first stage of the school is complete. You can find out if you're in the school enrolment zone by entering your address at findmyschool.vic.gov.au.

Leanne Winfield has been appointed principal of Clyde North Secondary School (interim name). She has worked in several leadership roles across government schools, spanning 30 years. Leanne is passionate about reading, writing and literacy learning, and development for teachers. Her vision is to help create a life-long love of learning in students so they can grow and reach their potential. 

When open for Term 1, 2025 the school will include:

• an administration building
• a learning neighbourhood
• a community hub
• hard courts
• a carpark
• a sports field.

The community will be able to help choose the new school’s name via the Engage Victoria website. Following consultation, the Minister for Education will make the final decision on the school’s name which is expected to be by early Term 3, 2024.
