I would have to say my favourite thing about the new upgrade would be the positivity it's bought, not only to our school but the whole Rochester community, in the way that it's made everyone really excited about our opportunities, and just really proud to be students at Rochester Secondary College.

The older buildings were a lot smaller and there wasn't a lot of space to work with, and now we've got all new possibilities and opportunities for students to discover and have a go at.

The new classrooms, for being a science-based student, are absolutely amazing. They're so much more spacious but so much easier to do prac work especially, and just gain a better understanding of everything that we're learning.

As a year 12 student we have our new, fresh year 12 study area which is really good to use. It encourages us to study during our free periods and really helps us to knuckle down when we're preparing for SACs and tests and exams and stuff.

There is a new science and art facility. The darkroom is where you do wet photography, photograms and is just very positive and it gives you more motivation to actually learn.

I Iike the new upgrade because it gives a modern feel to the school. It's very spacious and, a lot of the new equipment can help us in creating really great projects.

Everything's so much fresher, it just lifts all the students up, makes the students have a lot more pride in everything they do when they come to school.
