First week at Karwan Primary School

[Upbeat music plays throughout.]

[Two students are speaking to the camera and giving their thoughts on starting at a new school. They speak one at a time in front of a bright yellow building.]

Student 1: The best thing about starting in a new school is that, like the toilets are clean. It's very nice, it’s very nice, yeah.

[The video pans to a school playground with new trees and plants. There is a red, white and black-patterned school building, featuring a mural of a bird, in the background.]

Student 2: Like everything's just new to you, so you have to, like, explore areas and everything's, like, exciting.

Student 1: I'm looking forward to maybe learning more math, since I'm not really that good at math and maybe a bit of English.

Student 2:  I'm looking forward to learning about, like, whatever I don’t know.

Student 1: My favourite subject for, like, specialists is, like, art, like visual arts. And for, like, normal subjects, I really like English. Like reading, writing.

Student 2: My favourite subject would either be maths or PE, because I like sports and I'm really good at math.

Student 1: I am still thinking of what to be when I grow up, because I feel like some jobs are a bit harder than others. So yeah, I'm still thinking. I have no idea.

Student 2: What do I want to be when I grow up? Good question. I actually do not know. I want to be, like, a tennis player.

[The camera shows the 2 students climbing on a red spider web-inspired piece of climbing equipment.]

[A vertical panning shot shows a colourful school playground, featuring pink shapes and yellow and white lines. There is a bright yellow and grey-patterned building in the background.]

[A white background appears with the VSBA and Victoria State Government logos.]
