We see Michele speaking to someone off screen.

[On-screen text: Why did you want to become a principal of a new school?]

Michele: It was really the opportunity to establish our learning community from the ground up. Having that opportunity to develop a community where the educators and the families can all work together to ensure our students have access to the very best evidence-based, inclusive practices, to support them, to thrive and to grow and to be the very best that they can be.

[On-screen text:  How will the design of the school help support students and teachers?]

Michele: They're beautiful, really beautifully designed, some really unique spaces that will enable our students to engage in learning, to be well and to learn well, and to really meet their needs as learners and ensure that they have access to the curriculum, in creative and innovative ways.

[On-screen text: What does good education look like to you?]

Michele: All of our students having the opportunity to engage in learning to have their wellbeing needs met, to access a safe and supportive environment where educators and parents work together and our community works together to ensure that our own is really genuinely access learning programs that meet their needs and build their skills within our community and beyond our community.

[On-screen text: What is your vision for the school?]

Michele: Our school will promote a really safe and supportive learning environment where our students feel connected and engaged and where they genuinely have opportunities to grow in their own unique ways, and also by the evidence-based practices that we will employ in our school to really support students to perform at their very best and to succeed and meet their learning outcomes and achieve their personal life goals as well.

[On-screen text: What are you looking forward to on day 1, Term 1?]

Michele: I'm so incredibly excited for term one, day one. What I'm very much looking forward to seeing our students arrive through the gates, welcoming them to the heart of our school and bringing our parents and our community and hearing the buzz of learning and the excitement of the new beginning that will be us establishing our new school and our new place. And I'm really excited to meet our students and our families and really bring them into our community.
