We’re building a new primary school in Clyde North. It will open day one of Term 1 in 2025 and help the growing local population get great education close to home.

The school will open for enrolments for students in Prep to Grade 6. It will be able to enrol up to 650 students when the school is complete. You can find out if you're in the school enrolment zone by entering your address at findmyschool.vic.gov.au.

Nicole Walker has been appointed principal of Thompsons West Primary School (interim name). She has 35 years' experience in education and been principal of 3 government primary schools. She is an optimistic, passionate and self-driven leader. She embraces school culture and creating safe and beneficial learning environments for all. 

When open for Term 1, 2025 the school will include:

• an administration building
• a learning neighbourhood
• a community hub
• hardcourts
• a carpark
• a sports field. 

The community will be able to help choose the new school’s name via the Engage Victoria website. Following consultation, the Minister for Education will make the final decision on the school’s name which is expected to be by early Term 3, 2024.
