About the project

We are building a 3-room kindergarten at the new Wollert Central Primary School (interim name) and construction will be completed in mid-2025.

The kinder will be run by the City of Whittlesea and will open in 2026. It will be able to offer kinder to 99 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading classes throughout the week.   

Locating the kinder at the school will help some families before and after school with drop-off and pick-up. It will also help some children make a smoother transition into primary school. 

Enrolment

All enrolment and program enquiries are managed by the City of Whittlesea.   

Funding

In the 2023-24 State Budget, this project shared in $1.3 billion allocated to build around 100 new kindergartens to support Best Start, Best Life.
