About the project

We are partnering with City of Melton to build this centre.

The centre will have maternal child health consulting rooms, multipurpose community rooms and an outdoor play space.

The centre will be able to offer kinder to up to 132 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more kids by spreading sessions throughout the week.

This will help expand Victoria’s 2 years of free kindergarten, as part of our Best Start, Best Life reforms.

Funding

This project received up to $9 million as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and Melton City Council. The Victorian Government has committed up to $ 37.7 million to support 10 projects in the City of Melton. These will create up to 2,322 kindergarten places in the local government area.
