About the project
We're building a new primary school in Clyde North. It will open for day one of Term 1 in 2026. The school will have places for up to 715 students from Prep to Year 6, including 65 students with disabilities.
This school will help meet increasing enrolment demand from a growing local population. It will help local students get high-quality education close to home.
When open for Term 1, 2026, the school will include:
- an administration and library building
- 3 learning neighbourhoods
- a community hub
- outdoor hard courts
- a carpark
- a sports field.
Enrolments for 2026 are open
Balambalam Primary School is a supported inclusion school. Supported inclusion schools are local government schools with some extra accessibility features. These features help them teach and support more students with a disability.
Visit findmyschool.vic.gov.au for school zone information.
For enrolment enquiries, please continue to email clyde.creek.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au until the new school email is assigned. Learn more about enrolling in Foundation (Prep).
Your new school name
The school was known by its interim name, Clyde Creek North Primary School, during planning and design. Balambalam Primary School was chosen as this new school’s name following community and Traditional Owner group consultation. Balambalam (pronounced BUH-lum-BUH-lum) is a Bunurong Boonwurrung language word meaning butterfly, moth.
