About the project
We are working with the City of Greater Geelong to build a new kindergarten and community hub in Armstrong Creek.
The community hub will have 3 kinder rooms, maternal child health services, landscaping, car parking, and an outdoor play space. City of Greater Geelong are also funding a community room at the hub.
The centre will be able to offer kinder to up to 99 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading sessions throughout the week. This will expand free kindergarten as part of the Best Start, Best Life reforms.
Funding
This project shares in $283 million provided in the 2019–20 State Budget for Three-Year-Old Kindergarten capital funding. Funding was allocated in Batch 4 of the 2024 Building Blocks Grants Capacity Building stream.
