About the project
We partnered with Hume City Council to expand this centre.
We converted a community room into a kindergarten room so that 32 more local kids can attend kinder at a time.
The centre can offer kinder to up to 127 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more kids by spreading sessions throughout the week.
This will help expand Victoria’s 2 years of free kindergarten, as part of our Best Start, Best Life reforms.
Funding
This project received $810,000 as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and Hume City Council. The Victorian Government has committed up to $7.4 million to support 5 projects in the City of Hume. These will create up to 280 kindergarten places in the local government area.
