About the project

We are building a new kindergarten in Coburg.

The new kindergarten will be built on the site of the former Coburg Special Developmental School campus on Gaffney Street.

It will open in 2028 and will have at least 3 kindergarten rooms.

Enrolment

An experienced organisation will be appointed in 2026 to run the kinder. They will manage all enrolment and program enquiries.

Funding

In the 2023–24 State Budget, this project shared in $1.3 billion allocated to build around 100 new kindergartens to support the Best Start, Best Life reforms.
