About the project
We upgraded facilities at Dandenong West Primary School by building a new learning community area with five new classrooms, as well as withdrawal, administration and staff workspaces. We also constructed a new multipurpose hall and canteen, and refurbished the heritage building to create administration and staff space.
Funding
In the 2016–17 State Budget, the school shared in $12 million planning funding. The school has received an additional $5.2 million in the 2018–19 State Budget.

About the project
We built an edible garden which enables students to be involved in all aspects of growing plants, from seed to table. We also added six sensory stations around the existing walking track.

In 2018, $35,000 was allocated to the school in Round 4 of the Inclusive Schools Fund.
