About the project

We are helping upgrade Delacombe Community Kindergarten in partnership with the City of Ballarat.

The upgrade will allow the kindergarten to offer kinder to 99 children at a time, an increase of 44. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading classes throughout the week.

This will help expand Victoria’s 2 years of free kindergarten, as part of our Best Start, Best Life reforms.

Funding

This project received $2 million as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and the City of Ballarat. The Victorian Government has provided up to $21.5 million to support 5 projects that will create up to 612 new kindergarten places in the local government area.
