About the project

We partnered with the City of Monash to build a 2-room kindergarten in Mount Waverley. The hub has a maternal and child health space and immunisation and consulting rooms. There is also a community playgroup space.

The service can offer kinder to up to 66 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading sessions throughout the week.

This centre was previously known as Dorrington Early Years Hub.

Funding

This project was delivered by the Victorian School Building Authority and the City of Monash. It is part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and the City of Monash. This partnership has provided up to $16.02 million to the local government area. This investment is supporting 6 projects. These projects will create up to 521 kindergarten places in the City of Monash.
