About the project
We’re building an early learning and childcare centre in Red Cliffs, Mildura. The Victorian Government-owned centre will be run by Early Learning Victoria.
The centre will provide long day care and Three- and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs, with space for up to 57 local children in the centre each day. The centre will have outdoor play areas, a carpark and a consulting room for child and family services, such as maternal and child health and allied health.
From 2028, Four-Year-Old Kindergarten will transition to Pre-Prep in Mildura Rural City with children eligible to receive 16 to 20 hours of Pre-Prep.

This centre was previously known as Red Cliffs Early Learning and Childcare Centre (interim name).
Funding
This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government and the Victorian Government through the Building Early Education Fund 2026. The Victorian Government is contributing $107 million towards 11 projects, and the Australian Government will invest $63 million.
