About the project

We're building a new early learning and childcare centre at the new Rockbank Toolern Road Primary School (interim name).

The Victorian Government-owned centre will be run by Early Learning Victoria.

The centre will provide long day care and 3- and 4-Year-Old Kinder programs, with space for up to 130 local children in the centre each day. The centre will have outdoor play areas, a carpark, and child and family services, such as maternal and child health, playgroups and allied health.

Funding

This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government and the Victorian Government through the Building Early Education Fund 2026. The Victorian Government is contributing $107 million towards 11 projects, and the Australian Government will invest $63 million.
