About the project

We’re building an early learning and childcare centre in Warrnambool. We are working on confirming the best location for the centre.

Early Learning Victoria will run the centre. It will provide long day care, Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep programs with space for up to 130 local children each day. The centre will have outdoor play areas, a maternal and child health consulting room and a carpark.

From 2028, Four-Year-Old Kindergarten will transition to Pre-Prep in Warrnambool City. This will mean children will be eligible to receive 16 to 20 hours of Pre-Prep.

Funding

This centre is one of 50 Early Learning Victoria centres that will share in approximately $14 billion as part of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life reform.
