About the project

We expanded the preschool into a 2-room kindergarten. The centre will now be able to offer kindergarten places to 55 children at a time, and enrol considerably more by spreading classes throughout the week. This gives more local children access to 2 years of high-quality education. The expanded centre replaces the recently vacated maternal and child health centre next door.

Funding

In Round 2 of the 2021-22 Building Blocks Capacity Building Grant, $3,639,500 was allocated to this project.
