About the project

We are helping Bayside City Council convert Brighton Recreation Centre into a kindergarten.

It will have 1 kindergarten room and will be able to offer kinder to up to 30 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading classes throughout the week.

They will redevelop the entry and internal spaces and add a staff meeting room. The playground will also be updated and a veranda added.

Funding

In Batch 1 of the 2026 Building Blocks Capacity Building Grants, $993,977 was allocated to this project.
