About the project
We're helping upgrade the outdoor playspace. The works will make it more inclusive for children of all ages and abilities.
The centre will build a sensory garden, sandstone stepping pads and shaded, raised garden beds. They’ll also add a cubby house that is accessible for all children.
The existing sandpit will be upgraded with a widened entry point, mud kitchen, and water play station. A new turfed area will also be built under the existing shade sail. The existing astro turf will also be replaced with polished concrete. The verandah will be resurfaced for a level indoor-outdoor transition.
The boundary fence and evacuation gates will also be upgraded to improve safety.
Funding
In the 2025–26 Building Blocks Inclusion Grant – Buildings and Playgrounds Stream, $200,000 was allocated to this project.
