About the project
We helped upgrade the outdoor playspace. It is now more inclusive for children of all ages and abilities.
The centre built a sensory garden, sandstone stepping pads and shaded, raised garden beds. They also added a cubby house that is accessible for all children.
The sandpit was upgraded with a widened entry point, mud kitchen, and water play station. A new turfed area was also built under the existing shade sail. The astro turf was replaced with polished concrete. The verandah was resurfaced for a level indoor-outdoor transition.
The boundary fence and evacuation gates were also upgraded to improve safety.
Funding
In the 2025–26 Building Blocks Inclusion Grant – Buildings and Playgrounds Stream, $200,000 was allocated to this project.
