About the project

We are expanding Gum Nut Gully Preschool.

After detailed investigations, the current location was found to be unsuitable for this expansion. This means that kindergarten expansion works have been delayed.

We are working with Manningham Council to identify a new site.

The preschool will receive a new modular building with 2 kindergarten rooms and play areas. The new building will be able to offer kinder to up to 66 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading sessions throughout the week.

Funding

This project shares in $283 million provided in the 2019–20 State Budget for Three-Year-Old Kindergarten capital funding. Funding was allocated in Batch 3 of the 2024 Building Blocks Grants – Capacity Building stream.
