About the project

We are partnering with Hume City Council to build an integrated children’s centre in Sunbury.

The new centre will have 2 kindergarten rooms, a consulting room for maternal and child health services, and multi-purpose spaces for the community.

The centre will be able to offer kinder to up to 66 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading sessions throughout the week.

Funding

This project received $4.5 million as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and Hume City Council. The Victorian Government has committed up to $12.9 million to support 6 projects in the Hume City Council. These will create up to 450 kindergarten places in the local government area.
