About the project

We're helping upgrade the outdoor playspace. The works will make it more inclusive for children of all ages and abilities.

The centre will add spaces for group play. These will include sandpits, an accessible waterplay feature, blackboard panels and chalk steppers. Raised planters will also be added to allow standing and wheelchair access.

An accessible double swing will be installed. There will be more quiet retreat spaces for children. There will be a smooth, continuous path to link the accessible areas. We're also helping add seating that will assist educators to support children during play.

Funding

In the 2025–26 Building Blocks Inclusion Grant – Buildings and Playgrounds Stream, $200,000 was allocated to this project.
