About the project

We're building a new primary school in Clyde. It will open for day one of Term 1 in 2026 and have places for up to 525 students, from Prep to Year 6.

This school will help meet increasing enrolment demand from a growing local population. It will help local students get high-quality education close to home.

When open for Term 1, 2026 the school will include:

  • an administration and library building with spaces for art, science and food technology
  • 2 learning neighbourhoods
  • hard courts
  • a sports field
  • a community hub building.

Enrolments for 2026 are open

The school is open for enrolments for students in Foundation (Prep) to Grade 6.

You can find out if you're in the school zone by entering your address at findmyschool.vic.gov.au (select 2026 as the enrolment year).

For enrolment enquiries, please continue to email ballarto.road.ps@education.vic.gov.au until the new school email is assigned. Learn more about enrolling in Foundation.

Your new school name

The school was known by its interim name, Ballarto Road Primary School, during planning and design. Kulap Primary School was chosen as this new school’s name following engagement with the local Traditional Owner group and community consultation. Kulap (pronounced KOO-lup) is a Bunurong Boonwurrung language word meaning emu.

Mati Azadzoi has been appointed principal of Kulap Primary School. Mati has more than 13 years experience leading teams in primary and secondary schools. Funding
