About the project
We're building a new secondary school. It will open for day one of Term 1 in 2026 and have places for up to 800 students when the school is complete.
This school will help meet increasing enrolment demand from a growing local population. It will help local students get high-quality education close to home.
When open for Term 1, 2026 the school will include:
- a double-storey building with:
- administration areas and a library
- learning neighbourhoods that include general classrooms as well as dedicated creative and science spaces
- flexible learning spaces
- a presentation area
- an outdoor learning terrace
- outdoor hardcourts and a carpark
- landscaped outdoor areas with timber seating and shade sails.
We expect to complete a sports field and community hub by Term 2, 2026.
Enrolments for 2026 are open
In its first year of operation, Lockerbie Secondary School will open to Year 7 students only, with an additional year level added each year. The 2026 school zones are available at findmyschool.vic.gov.au.
