About the project
We built a sensory and passive play garden, providing an alternate play space and offering stimulating sensory experiences for all children, particularly those with additional needs. It includes calm zones for quiet, self-focused reflection, creative zones with opportunities for students to engage with a range of tactile surfaces, and energy zones with equipment for more active play.
Funding
In 2019, $200,000 was allocated to the school in Round 5 of the Inclusive Schools Fund.
