About the project
We partnered with Darebin City Council to expand this centre.
The upgrade included adding a kinder room and expanding another. Outdoor learning spaces were also upgraded.
The centre can offer kinder to up to 66 children at a time, an increase of 38. It may be able to enrol more kids by spreading sessions throughout the week.
This helps expand Victoria’s 2 years of free kindergarten, as part of our Best Start, Best Life reforms.
Funding
This project received $1.7 million as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and the Darebin City Council. The Victorian Government has provided more than $2.4 million to support 2 projects that will create up to 97 kindergarten places in the local government area.
