What I'm most looking forward to, about moving into Wollert Primary School, as principal, is actually building the minds and the character of our students, from day one.

As an educator, I think we have the responsibility to respond to the needs of society. Every child that comes into our care we want to build the skills, the capacity, the knowledge that are going to enable them to actually be successful.

I can't remember a time I didn't want to be in teaching. It goes back to sitting, you know, in the backyard of my cousin's house with chalk and drawing on the corrugated fence, mimicking a schoolyard.

…a sense of joy…

[Leanne Tingwell]

Over my time as an educator, I've had so many memorable moments. It's a sense of joy that comes from children, working alongside them every day. And, not just about the students, it's about the families that you connect with, it's the teachers you work alongside. It's those joyful moments when children reach that "aha!" moment and you see that spark. It's so much about the relationships and the connections you have in schools.

My vision for Wollert Primary School is really tagged to our motto of "aspirations without limitations".

Aspirations without limitations.

[Leanne Tingwell]

Being able to build from the ground up a culture, a feeling through our school that is one of success and achievement, and it becomes an inspirational place because you know it does encompass all those really great elements that you've learned over the years.

Wollert Primary School is going to be an environment that cultivates learning, excitement, and aspirations for everybody.
