Port Melbourne Secondary College

Opening Term 1, 2022

Sneak peek with Estelle and Param

We see a medium close-up shot of a smiling young girl with long dark hair looking to camera. Cut to an external shot of the new school. Cut to a drone shot of the new school.

[Estelle]

My name is Estelle, and I'm going to be one of the first students at Port Melbourne Secondary College.

We see a medium close-up shot of a smiling young boy in a red and white striped shirt looking to camera. Cut to a drone shot of the new school.

[Param]

My name is Param. I'm one of the students at Port Melbourne Secondary College.

We see a shot of Estelle and Param entering the school through a large glass doorway. The new school has a very modern Scandinavian interior design – lots of clean angles, light-coloured wood features, contrasting dark grey building materials. Cut to a shot of the two walking up one of the expansive set of interior stairs.

[Estelle]

I'm pretty excited, the school is really big.

We see a panning shot of one of the open areas on an upper floor.

[Param]

In orientation day to our classes, we figured out where most of the stuff is.

We see a panning shot of one of the staircases and corresponding seating area.

[Estelle]

I do like P.E. quite a lot. And I also like the gym because it's really big.

We see Estelle and Param enter the new competition-grade gym. A panning shot of the gym. A high shot looking down into the gym from a window on an upper floor.

We see Estelle and Param sit in one of the learning pods in the new library. The whole space has a very Star Trek/sci-fi vibe about it with a clean and neat design. They greet each other like old friends.

[Param]

This is our lecture theatre, and it seats 200 students and, like, you can see the whole city.

We see a static wide shot of the 200-seat lecture theatre which cuts to a panning view of the city visible through the room’s windows. Cut to a shot of Param and Estelle sitting and reading in one of the school’s many lounge areas.

[Param]

I'm really into science and mostly like hands-on science.

We see Param exploring one of the science labs. It’s bright and airy with lots of space and work benches. Cut to a panning shot of Estelle and Param sitting at some tables in a learning space.

[Estelle]

The view is really good, and also I'm a big plant lover so to see all the plants up there was really nice.

We see an external shot of Estelle and Param standing on one of the outdoor benches looking towards Port Phillip. Cut to a series of panning shots of Param and Estelle exploring the planters and seating areas of the outdoor balconies and roof space.

We see a high drone shot of the new school.

[Param]

Welcome to Port Melbourne.
