About the project

We have finished refurbishing the school, as well as building a competition-grade gymnasium.

The refurbishment included the main school building, as well as an open plan space, which was changed into a general purpose classroom with an additional withdrawal room and a music room.

To minimise the impact on the school, we refurbished the main building in 2 stages, after we finished building the gym and completed extension works to the BER building.

Funding

In the 2016–17 State Budget, $12 million was allocated to schools across the State for planning. This included funding for the school.

In the 2018–19 State Budget $9 million was allocated to the school.

About the project

We upgraded the school's kindergarten by creating a second kindergarten room with capacity for 22 children.

The new space allows for both a funded kindergarten and three-year-old program and will enable more children to benefit from the kinder’s commitment to providing accessible facilities and wide-ranging early years services.

Funding

The school received two funding commitments from the Children’s Facilities Capital Program for a combined value of $330,000 in 2017–18 in order to facilitate the upgrade.
