About the project
We built an integrated children’s centre for the Oakleigh South Child and Family Hub. As well as providing a new kindergarten, the centre offers maternal and children’s health services for local families and a multi-purpose room for the local community.
This centre was previously known as Scammell Child and Family Hub.
Funding
This project received $3.7 million through the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and the City of Monash. Through this partnership, the Victorian Government has provided up to $16.02 million to the City of Monash. This is supporting 6 projects. These projects will create up to 521 kindergarten places in the local government area.

About the project
We helped the City of Monash plan and design a new kindergarten at Scammell Reserve in South Oakleigh.
The kindergarten will offer 66 funded kindergarten places for 3 and 4-year-olds, a Maternal and Child Health space and a multi-purpose room.
This planning work helped get the project ready for construction.

In the 2021–22 Building Blocks Grant – Planning stream, $150,000 was allocated to this project.
