About the project

We are building a permanent kindergarten at Rochester Secondary College. It will replace the temporary kinder we installed at the school after the 2022 floods.

It will open in 2027 and will have at least 2 kindergarten rooms.

Having the school and kindergarten together will help some families with drop-off and pick-up.

Enrolment

An approved kindergarten provider will manage all enrolment and program enquiries. Subscribe to be notified when the kinder provider is announced.

Funding

In the 2023-24 State Budget, this project shared in $1.3 billion allocated to build around 100 new kindergartens to support the Best Start, Best Life reforms.
