About the project
We're helping improve the acoustics and lighting in the playrooms.
To improve sound absorption and reduce ambient noise, the centre will install:
- acoustic wall panelling
- ceiling baffles
- carpet tiles
- acoustic curtains.
They'll also install hearing towers that can detect and adjust sound levels. These will provide a direct link from educators to children's hearing aids.
Finally, the centre will install dimmable lighting to reduce glare.
Funding
In the 2025–26 Building Blocks Inclusion Grant – Buildings and Playgrounds Stream, $89,053 was allocated to this project.
