Shirley Robertson Children's Centre

We are helping Shirley Robertson Children’s Centre upgrade their outdoor space. A deck, ramp and steps with handrails will be installed. The sandpit and surrounds will be updated and a raised sand table will be added.

The ground level outdoor space will be extended under the covered outdoor space. A retractable awning will also be installed to provide more sun protection. 

The new spaces will allow children of all abilities to play, learn and explore together.

We replaced verandas on both kindergarten rooms. This improves natural light inside and keeps children shaded when they are learning and playing outside.

We replaced shading infrastructure to maximise natural light into the service. This helps to improve health and safety for children, and provide year-round learning and play spaces.

Shirley Robertson Children's Centre have converted their outdoor area into an all-weather play area, improving its safety for children and encouraging inclusive play. The upgrade also included adding indigenous flora.
