About the project

We are helping upgrade The Stables Kindergarten. The kindergarten will have 2 kindergarten rooms, a new office and a staff space.

The redevelopment will be able to offer kinder to 66 children at a time. It may be able to enrol more local kids by spreading classes throughout the week.

This will help expand Victoria’s 2 years of free kindergarten, as part of our Best Start, Best Life reforms.

Funding

This project received up to $4 million as part of the Building Blocks Partnership between the Victorian Government and the City of Whittlesea. The Victorian Government has provided up to $24.25 million to support 5 projects that will create up to 490 kindergarten places in the local government area.
