About the project

We are building a new kindergarten at Thompsons East Primary School (interim name).

It will open in 2028 and have 4 kindergarten rooms. This will provide more kindergarten places for the local community.

Having the school and kindergarten together will help some families with drop-off and pick-up. It may also help some children make a smoother transition into primary school.

Enrolment

An experienced not-for-profit kindergarten provider will be appointed to run the kinder. They will manage all enrolment and program enquiries. Sign up to be notified when a provider is announced.

Funding

This project is funded as part of the $3.8 billion infrastructure funding allocated since the 2015–16 State Budget to early childhood infrastructure including to support the delivery of the Victorian Government’s Best Start, Best Life reforms.
